  • I’m on a mission to flip diet culture on its head. I want food and nutrition to be an enjoyable, rewarding, easy and healthy part of people’s lives, not one of scaremongering, restrictive meal plans and black and white advice with no room for balance or individual needs. I want to teach people how to eat well for the rest of their life and this week, I’m taking some big steps to achieve that. I underestimated how challenging it is to put your ideas out there, because the feedback isn’t always positive, but as tired as I am, when I remember why I’m doing this, it’s all worth it. I remember times with clients when they said they no longer felt anxious about food. I remember the joy on their faces as they recall bringing balance to what used to be a binge and also share how they ate a certain food without guilt or shame. I remember celebrating the small wins, when clients succeeded with small food prep tips, made choices they were happy with in difficult situations and could see their new cooking skills and easy recipes come to life in their life! It brings me much joy! I want you to feel so confident in your food choices that food no longer consumes your life, it enhances it and you can move on and feel free to chase your dreams #thehubsquad #entrepreneur #nutritionist #healthyeatinghub

  • In my line of work, every day, I meet people trying to lose weight, get lean, flatten their stomach etc, because they feel that their body, the way it is, makes them not worthy. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be healthy or leaner, I’d just ask you to look deeper at your motives. To want to be leaner because you think that you’re unworthy or disgusting will lead you down a path that won’t take you where you want to go. I will and always will believe that food is simply a part of our life to enjoy and help us do life well. Choose food because it helps you function well, gives you energy and gets you through your day. I know that when I’m choosing foods that achieve these goals, that my day goes so much smoother. And I don’t spend my day stressing about food, I spend it thinking about making progress towards my dreams and loving my family. A healthy body is vital for a full life but it’s not vital for your to be worthy and valuable. You are enough. Just the way you are. #youareenough

  • Now don’t get me wrong. I love food and all it has to offer and I know that the food I choose to eat can profoundly impacts my health. However, it’s not the ultimate goal. I have other goals. Other dreams. Food helps me do life well, it isn’t the ‘be all and end all’. I’m much much more than what I eat. And so are you.
